DAYTON, Ohio (AP) – Kelly Fisher was born during a notorious Ohio blizzard in January 1978, so she wouldn’t hear of canceling her wedding, scheduled in Dayton during Saturday’s snowstorm.
Fisher said she’d be willing to plow snow herself, if she had to, noting that a snowplow had led her parents to the hospital 30 years ago.

BEIJING, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) — For Chinese, wedding ceremonies should be held on good occasion that promises auspiciousness. OK, so no spring wedding at the White House, after all. Instead, first twin Jenna Bush’s choice to hold the ceremony at the family ranch in Crawford is like the bride herself: Surprising, private and contrary.
“I know she wants to keep it private as long as possible,” first lady Laura Bush said of her daughter’s wedding plans.
It can’t be very long. Blond and fresh-faced, 26-year-old Jenna’s marriage on May 10 to Henry Hager, 29, a business student and former White House intern, is already generating comparisons to an American royal wedding.

BOSTON – Yes, hot dogs were served at Allison and Jason Williams’ wedding last Saturday, but only as bite-size appetizers carried on small silver trays by wait staff who also offered crab rangoon and arancini with mozzarella.
And to no one’s surprise but everyone’s delight, the string trio that had played Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” during the processional also performed an impromptu “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” after the newlyweds had exchanged vows.
