Used Bridal Gown Bonanza in Wisconsin

Two fashion shows, more than 20 vendors and advice on trends in the prom and wedding world are part of the plans for the 2008 Formal & Bridal Exchange.

Sponsored by the Wausau Daily Herald, the Feb. 17 event at Stoney Creek Inn, also allows people to buy gently used modern bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses and formal wear.

“The fashion shows will be fast paced with a runway and runway seating. It’s very New York,” said Tamara Mugerauer, co-owner of Blue Event Planning and Bridal Consulting in Oshkosh. Mugerauer and her partner, Laura Selenka, are putting the fashion show together.

The giant retailer is selling dresses online targeting budget-conscious brides. There’s an array to choose along with accessories, all for under $200 — definitely a way to help bring down the cost of the big day.
