When Brennan’s Bridal Prom Tuxedos opened at 1 p.m. yesterday, 40 people were outside waiting, and Winston-Salem police were letting only one customer in at a time.
The crowd had gathered because many said they had heard worrisome reports about the store at 1606 S. Stratford Road. The store wasn’t open Monday, its Web site is no longer operating, and its telephone number has been temporarily disconnected.

Wow. Imagine the poor brides who don’t hear about this & fail to pickup their wedding party attire. These things happen a lot when bridal wear stores go out of business.

Of the 10 gowns she’s worn as a bridesmaid, Kelly Mundth says that a big, poofy red dress with a lace-up, corset back and a supremely unflattering train takes the wedding cake, so to speak.
It was, she says, “hideous.”
The detachable train, worn for the ceremony, “made us look like we had three butts.
“That was my very first experience as a bridesmaid,” says Mundth, who lives in Sun Prairie. “It was a little traumatizing.”
